From the time I was eight years old and cut apart the cardboard from a cereal box to make my own board game, I've been inventing fun little projects and crafts.

 

After my first son showed signs of learning disabilities, I made the decision to stay home and open up my own child care center.  With a degree in Journalism and Art, I have been in business for over 27 years.

Planning activities, projects, and making crafts is my passion and I love coming up with creative ways to spark a child’s imagination.  A mom of four kids, my youngest with Autism, I've had years of experience adapting ideas into projects that are engaging, fun, and improve fine and gross motor skills.

 

In my first book series,  I took my love of all things Pirate and turn it into a three-book set jam-packed with fun pirate activities, crafts, games, and tasty food. How to plan a pirate party has never been easier.

My love of writing has developed into a love of picture books where I am hard at work writing and revising.  I love a silly story with lots of heart.  Having kids giggle and smile is the best thing ever!

I  live in the beautiful Bay Area in Northern California with my husband Michael,  four kids, and a wacky dog named Skippy.  I'm working hard on many more books and am the creator of Kidfunideas.com.
