How to make it:
1. Use the pattern pieces to cut out your Robot pieces from either lightweight cardboard or construction paper.
2. Use your hole punch to make holes in your Robot pieces where indicated on the pattern. If you do not have metal paper fasteners, do not make holes and tape or staple your robot pieces together. If you are using metal paper fasteners, attach your Robot body pieces together. If you do not have metal paper fasteners, staple your body pieces together.
3. Glue on your Robot antennae. If you are using cardboard for the head you can insert a pipe cleaner into the top of the cardboard and make that into an antenna
4. If you like you can cover the hands and feet in foil before attaching them to your robot.
5. Now comes the fun part. Decorate your Robot with odds and ends from around your house. For example, you can:
· use drink caps for eyes
· glue a pipe cleaner for a mouth
· use a piece of cork or washer for a nose or to top your antennae
· a square plastic bread tie makes a cute heart.
· draw in a control panel on your Robot’s chest
· Cover your Robot’s hands in foil
· Use sections of drink straws to add fun details
6. If you want to use your Robot as a puppet, wait for your glued items to dry and then attach one end of a chopstick or unsharpened pencil to the back of your Robot’s head with a strong tape like duct tape.
