Pirate Bowling

Here’s a fun project that's also a fun game.  This game is the perfect thing to make and play for Talk Like a Pirate Day or for a Pirate themed party.   Simply color your scurvy crew of pirates, attach to upcycled water bottles and get bowling! What you'll need:

  • Scurvy Crew Pirate Printouts 

  • Tape    

  • Scissors 

  • Crayons, markers, or pencils for decorating

  • Optional: Laminator

  • 6 Upcycled Plastic water bottles

  • Small toy ball

 

How to make it:

  1. Print out the Scurvy Pirate crew pictures.  

  2. Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color your bus.

  3. Cut away the excess paper around each Pirate bowling pin piece.

  4. Optional:  Laminate your Pirate bowling pins and trim away the excess lamination.

  5. Fill each bottle with a little bit of water (about 1/4 cup.

  6. Tape your Pirates to the water bottles lining up the bottle of the bottle with the bottom of the pirate art.

To Play:

​

Line up your Pirates in 3 rows.  One in the front row; Two in the second row; and three in the third row.  

​

Take turns standing around 6 feet away and rolling the ball to knock down the Pirates.  Each player gets two tries to knock down the pirates.
