Here's a fun craft that is perfect for Talk Like a Pirate Day. We use iron-on transfer paper to decorate a plain napkin to make a special flag, but it can also be put on T-Shirts, bandanas, or clipped out and glued to paper as well.  Arrr, this here be a fun craft!  For more Pirate fun, check out the new Pirate craft and activity books now available in the Kidfunideas store!

 

What you'll need:

• Iron on transfer paper

• Talk Like a Pirate art

• Scissors                           

• Iron (have an adult help with this)

• String and tape for hanging if you are making a flag

• Cloth cotton surface (T-shirt, white napkin, bandana, etc)

 

How to make it:

1. Print out the Pirate words and phrases art or Pirate ship art.

2. Follow the instructions on the package of iron transfer paper to copy the image you want and trim away the excess paper away from around the artwork.

3. Place your picture or words where you want them on your t-shirt, napkin, or bandana.

4. Cover the image with a thin dishcloth and iron your image to the fabric following the instructions on the transfer paper package.

5. If you are making a flag, use ribbon to attach your artwork to a dowel or stick with ribbon.
