Tissue Paper Turkey
This fun kid’s craft is perfect for Thanksgiving. Kids use colored tissue paper squares to decorate their turkeys. It makes a nice seasonal decoration to hang up on the refrigerator or on the wall. Try out our other Thanksgiving and harvest activities too!
What you'll need:
-
Turkey Printout
-
Colored tissue squares (red/orange/yellow/brown/tan)
-
Glue stick
-
Crayons or color pencils to decorate
-
Construction paper to mount your picture on (optional)
How to make it:
-
Printout the Turkey pattern. Use a glue stick to paste it to the center of a piece of construction paper. Choose whatever color paper you like to mount it.
-
Use crayons or colored pencils to color the face, neck, and feet.
-
Take your tissue paper squares and, taking one at a time, pinch the square in the center folding it in half, and then in half again. Apply a dab of glue to the pointed edge. Attach the tissue pieces to the turkey picture until all of the feather sections and tummy sections are filled. Make each of the feathers all one color or alternate colors for a different look.
