Big Kahuna Coin Catcher
Dads always seem to have loose coins in their pockets so why not make the big guy a place to corral all that loot. We call this fun kid’s craft project The Big Kahuna Coin Catcher because it’s a great gift for Dad for Father’s Day. Not to mention quick and easy! Check out our other Father's Day crafts
What you'll need:
-
One empty plastic Disinfecting wipes container – clean and dry
-
Download Big Kahuna picture for the cover – or your own design on paper
-
Scissors
-
Markers, crayons, or colored pencils to decorate
-
Clear plastic packing tape
-
Plastic sheet protector or laminator
How to make it:
-
Remove the label on the disinfecting wipes container. Clean and dry it.
-
Download the pattern for the front of the container.
-
Measure the paper around the container and trim it to fit just below the rim with no excess hanging below the container. (Note: not all containers are the same diameter around so you may have to adjust the paper to fit properly.
-
Color in and decorate your picture.
-
If you have a laminator, laminate your picture. If you do not have a laminator, you can use a plastic sheet protector cut to fit your design.
-
Attach your design to the container using plastic packing tape.
-
For the top, you can leave it as is, or have an adult cut away the excess plastic area where the wipes feed through.
Now your big Kahuna will have a great place to stash his loot for a rainy day!
