What you'll need:

  • Construction paper – Red/Black

  • 1 metal paper fastener

  • Scissors

  • Tape

  • White pipe cleaner

  • Glue stick

  • 2 googly eyes

  • White glue

  • Black & Silver permanent marker

How to make it:

  1. Print out the ladybug pattern and cut out the shapes from the construction paper – red for the wings and black for the body piece.

  2. Use your hole punch to make a hole where indicated on the wing and body pieces.

  3. Take your metal paper fastener and use your black marker to color the fastener end black.  Connect the two wing pieces by inserting the point of the fastener through the holes in the wings and then thread it through the body piece.  Turn your ladybug over and open up the fastener to secure the wings to the body piece.

  4. Make several small black dots out of black construction paper and attach them to the wing pieces with a glue stick.  Make as many or as few as you like.

  5. Take a 6” piece of white pipe cleaner and bend it in half at the center.  Curl each end a little to form the antennae.  Turn your ladybug over and tape the antennae in the center to the back of the head with tape.

  6. Last, glue on 2 googly eyeballs to the face with white glue and draw in a mouth with silver marker.
