Wheels on the Bus Frame

Here’s a fun project that lets the kids be the bus driver.  You can use either the black and white version and color it yourself, or the full-color version for a quicker result. Try pairing this fun kid’s craft with reading Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, for a really fun activity.

What you'll need:

  • Bus printout

  • Photo of child

  • Glue Stick

  • Crayons, markers, or pencils for decorating

  • Colored construction paper or laminator

  • String and tape for hanging or, two peel and stick magnets for use on a refrigerator

  • Scissors

How to make it:

  1. Print out the bus picture.  If you choose the black and white version, use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color your bus.

  2. Cut a piece of colored construction paper the same size as the bus front window and glue your photo onto the paper.  Glue the whole thing to the bus front window area.

  3. If you like you can add some of your friends to the windows of the bus also using the same photo method.

  4. Trim away the white area around the bus shape and mount it onto colored construction paper.  Optional: Laminate your picture.

  5. Add a looped string on the back with tape or two peel and stick magnets to hang your picture.

The Wheels on The Bus Song Lyrics

Author/copywrite unknown

The Wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round,

round and round.

The Wheels on the bus go round and round, all through the town.

---------------------------------------

The door on the bus goes open and shut, open and shut,  open and shut.

The door on the bus goes open and shut, all through the town.

 ---------------------------------------

The coins on the bus go clink, clink, clink.  Clink, clink, clink.  Clink, clink, clink.

The coins on the bus go clink, clink, clink, all through the town.

 ---------------------------------------

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep.   Beep, beep, beep.   Beep, beep, beep.

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep, all through the town.

 ---------------------------------------

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish.   Swish, swish, swish.  Swish, swish, swish.

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish, all through the town.

 --------------------------------------

The people on the bus go up and down,  up and down,  up and down.

The people on the bus go up and down, all through the town.

 ---------------------------------------

The driver on the bus says, “Move on back,  Move on back,   Move on back.”

The driver on the bus says, “Move on back” all through the town.

---------------------------------

The wheels on the bus go round and round all through the town.
