Paper Snowflake Craft
This winter, why not bring the snowflakes inside with this fun paper project. Plain white copy paper is transformed into beautiful winter snowflakes. Add glitter or leave them plain, they are so pretty!

What you'll need:
-
Plain white copy paper
-
8” of ribbon (any color) to hang your snowflake or, 8 ½ x 11” paper to mount
-
Tape or glue tape
-
Scissors
-
Stapler
-
Optional: White glue and glitter
-

How to make it:
-
Start by taking your paper and make 5/8” accordion folds along the narrow end until the entire paper becomes a folded paper strip.
-
Once your paper is completely accordion folded, fold your paper strip in half, making a crease in the center of the folded paper strip. Unfold the strip and staple the paper right on the crease you made.
-
Take scissors and make a point at each end of the paper strip, trimming the edges into a point.
-
Now it’s time to cut out some shapes along the folded edge of the paper. Use scissors to cut out small shapes along both sides of the folded strip.
-
Once you have cut out all your shapes, carefully unfold the paper strip and glue or tape the edges together.
-
At this point, you can add a ribbon to your snowflake to hang it or, use glue tape to tape it to a piece of construction paper. Add white glue and glitter or leave it plain – both versions look lovely.
