What you'll need:
-
Toilet paper tubes or Popsicle Sticks
-
Tape
-
Scissors
-
Colored pencils, crayons, or markers for decorating
-
Circus Pal printouts – Black and white or full-color version
How to make it:
-
Print out the Circus Pal printouts. If you are using the black and white version, use crayons or colored pencils to decorate.
-
Carefully cut the animal shapes out of paper and attach them to the toilet paper tubes with tape. Optional: for extra strength, laminate your pals and then tape them to the tubes. If you are using these as puppets, you can carefully trim out your Circus Pals and use a glue stick to attach them to cardstock. Trim away the excess cardstock and attach them to popsicle sticks in the back to use as puppets.
-
For the elephant, turn your tube on its side and tape the elephant to the tube. (Tip: You can make a slit in the back of the tube to stabilize the tube so they don’t roll)
-
For the big top: Trim away the big top picture and glue stick to card stock. Attach a toilet paper tube to each end of the tent in the back with tape
Now you are all set for the greatest show on earth – the Circus!
