Circus Pals

Here’s a quick and simple kid’s craft project. You can create an entire Circus full of performers in no time at all.  All you need is the Circus Pals printout and a handful of toilet paper tubes or popsicle sticks and you’ll be ready for the big top in no time!  Try our other Kidfunideas circus crafts, projects, and activities too.

 What you'll need:

  • Toilet paper tubes or Popsicle Sticks

  • Tape

  • Scissors

  • Colored pencils, crayons or markers for decorating

  • Circus Pal printouts – Black and white or full-color version

How to make it:

  1. Print out the Circus Pal printouts.  If you are using the black and white version, use crayons or colored pencils to decorate.

  2. Carefully cut the animal shapes out of paper and attach them to the toilet paper tubes with tape.  Optional:  for extra strength, laminate your pals and then tape them to the tubes. If you are using these as puppets, you can carefully trim out your Circus Pals and use a glue stick to attach them to cardstock.  Trim away the excess cardstock and attach them to popsicle sticks in the back to use as puppets.

  3. For the elephant, turn your tube on its side and tape the elephant to the tube. (Tip:  You can make a slit in the back of the tube to stabilize the tube so they don’t roll)

  4. For the big top: Trim away the big top picture and glue stick to card stock.  Attach a toilet paper tube to each end of the tent in the back with tape

Now you are all set for the greatest show on earth – the Circus!
